cousins everywhere!

Isabelle got to spend the last two weekends with her cousins at the cabin. Needless to say she had a really fun time with all of them. Will and Keegan came up last weekend and we were able to get out in the boat with the boys a couple times and managed to catch sunfish, largemouth and smallmouth bass and a bunch of perch.

Isabelle had another exciting weekend with Kaylee and Blayne...corn on the cob, Todd County Fair, fishing and s'mores...what else could a 4 year old want?

Bigger Pool and a Rainbow

Rainbow's are Isabelle's favorite thing to paint or draw, she loves them. She was really excited to see one the other day during a brief sun shower...

After spending 2 summers playing in the teen tiny baby pool Isabelle finally upgraded to a larger inflatable pool...it has been a good way to beat the heat.

even more fun

Isabelle Kaylee and Blayne have painted just about every available rock at the cabin. Who knew how much it is to paint rocks? The kids love it!

Isabelle and Kaylee set up a salon in the living room...

Even at home Isabelle gets to have fun in the sun. She finally talked me into buying a bigger pool so future pictures will have a more full grown pool.

more time at the lake!

We had another fun weekend at the lake last weekend. We went to the Osakis Days carnival which was pretty small but had rides, games and corn dogs which was really all we needed! Isabelle continues to enjoy fishing from the dock and out in the boat. The weather cooled off a little so we were able to enjoy a camp fire and have some smores. This lasted until the bugs came out...wow there are a lot of bugs this year!

more fun at the lake...

Isabelle and Kaylee had a good time playing princess at the cabin. The weather was pretty nice so we spent a lot of time outside but the kids still like to get inside and play from time to time.

We got the giant tube out for the first time this year. The kids took two rides each and seemed to really enjoy it.

Isabelle is quite the little angler! She caught this bass all by herself, she casted, set the hooks and reeled it in...I still cant get her to hold fish for the picture but I am working on it...stay tuned.

Summer fun

What a fun summer so far and its only June 11! We have spent a lot of time at the cabin so far this summer and Isabelle loves it almost as much as Gina and I do. This last weekend we were able to get out in the boat and do some fishing. Isabelle and I were able to catch a nice batch of sunfish for a fish fry. It was really windy on our side of the lake so we drove across the lake and swam off the boat. The kids were a little freaked out at first but eventually enjoyed floating on the noodles.

We actually spent a weekend at home and had a campfire in the backyard. Isabelle loves smores!

Floating on noodles!

Isabelle caught a really nice sunfish, we had a limit of good eaters but this one was the biggest.

Putting one fish in teh livewell is a really good way to occupy the kiddos while I fish!

4th Birthday Parties and Memorial Weekend and the Lake

It has been a while since my last post. We have had a pretty busy spring and are excited for an action packed summer.

Isabelle turned 4 yesterday and we have had a couple of birthday celebrations for her. She had a big party at home a couple of weeks ago. The gigantic princess jump house was reallyexciting but a chilly rainy day made it a little less fun than it should have been.

Mommy made some fancy schmancy cupcakes for the birthday party.

So many kids and presents...

Birthday celebration #2 was at the cabin on Tuesday morning, her actual birthday. Mom was able to find a Merida dress for her. Isabelle was very excited. Merida is the new Disney Princess, the movie isnt out yet but Isabelle cant wait to see it.

More amazing cup cakes from Mommy.

Cousins Kaylee and Blayne helped Isabelle open her presents...

Soccer! Isabelle is having fun playing soccer so far this year. So far we have only had one game and she got kicked in the face during that game. The black eye is gone and she doesnt seem discouraged at all.

Memorial weekend was our first family trip to our cabin on Lake Osakis. Isabelle started things off with a big sunfish off the dock. We put a live box in the water and were able to keep some fish for hte kids to look at and play with. She also caught several little bass and a pile of smaller perch and sunnies off the dock.

Cousin Blayne caught his own big old sunfish...

Making delicious cupcakes with Mommy.

Our little princesses on a boat ride...

Back to the dock for more fishing...

Soccer!

Isabelle started soccer this week. This her first organized sports experience and I am really hoping that she enjoys it. She is on a team with 2 girls that she goes to daycare with. I get to be the assistant coach so hopefully I can help them all have a fun time.
