Graduation and a couple trips to the cabin!

Isabelle graduated from preschool last week. I think she will miss going to preschool but kindergarten should be just as much fun.

We have been to the cabin on Lake Osakis a few times and Isabelle is not letting the crappy May weather get her down. We fished from shore at a  resort down the road and caught a bunch of crappies and sunnies. The resort has a playground so Isabelle can split her time between fishing and playing.

Back at the Cabin things are still dreary but tons of fun. We havent caught as many sunfish of the dock due to the cold water, but they will move in soon. Isabelle hasnt quite understood why she cant get in the water, splashing on the dock with rain boots on is as close as she will get for a while.

This last weekend we got out in the boat  a few times and caught a lot of fishing trolling in front of the cabin. Isabelle is really into it for about an hour and then we need some distractions. All together we caught some walleyes for the table and some nice northerns that we let go.

Catching Up

We went to Benihana for Gina's birthday. Isabelle loves this place...and we love that she loves it. She really enjoys watching the chef cook. She is enjoying cooking more and more. She has always loved playing in her toy kitchen but now her imagination goes crazy with ingredients and ideas. She has now decided that she wants to own a restaurant when she grows up.

For Grandma's birthday we all went to the Steppingstone Theatre in St Paul and watched a play called Heartbeat of a Drum. The actors were all 4th -9th graders and did an amazing job. Isabelle enjoyed the play quite a bit, she still talks about it. After the play we went to the Red Balloon bookstore in St Paul and Isabelle got some books and got her picture taken with the big wooden bear in front of the store.

Soccer season started last week. Isabelle is on the "white ice" team this year. So far she loves playing soccer. She hasnt scored a goal yet and is pretty anxious to. This is my first season as a head coach and so far so good...

Isabelle got her ears pierced! I wasnt there for the event but Mom said she didnt cry or fuss at all, adorable.

Isabelle's first and only year of preschool is almost  over. They had a chilly ice cream social last week. She officially graduates from preschool later this week so more pictures to come....
