was da

"was da" is Isabelle for "whats that", it is a phrase that we hear all the time. Isabelle is really curious and seems to be learning things minute by minute. She now mimics the things we do around the house (pointing the remote at the tv, watering flowers, and others...). She seems to really be soaking things up. She is saying a few other words but still does most of her talking in a language that nobody (but her) can understand.

Isabelle's first carnival

Isabelle went to her first carnival and her first parade last weekend. I think she really liked the parade, but we sat at the end so the floats were really spread out. She would have liked it even more if the action was a little more constant. At the carnival she ate her first corndog and played her first carnival game...she acually won a little inflatable princess thingamajig that she really likes. The carousel went really fast and she was super scared the whole time...you can almost hear the scream in the picture below. Isabelle is starting to "talk" a little more, she said "two" about 10 minutes ago...she actually looked at a two and said two...it was pretty cool!

growing up...FAST

What a big girl! Isabelle really is no longer a baby and is now a little person. She eats spaghetti, cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets, french toast, scrambled eggs, waffles and pretty much anything. She is now drinking whole milk out of a sippy cup and only has one bottle per day. Now our job is to get rid of the bed time bottle, but that could take some time. Isabelle had her 12 month appointment last week, she is 31 inches long and weighs 24 lbs. She has fallen from the 98th to the 92nd percentile. She is completely in love with all of her birthday presents. She playing with her tea sets and her tea cupboard, she also loves her couch and her baby stroller. She really loves books, it is so amazing to watch her pick one out of the pile walk over to me so I can read it to her...what a differnce a year makes!
